The chosen graphics processor found in the Alpha is based on the GTX 860M - which, at an architectural level at least, is identical to the desktop GTX 750 Ti we reviewed earlier this year (both are based on Nvidia's GM104 chip design). Here is the benchmarks for the GTX 860m for games.įor what it is worth, if it changes the benchmarks: It would run the games worse, plus as games get optimized for the consoles - this video card will get left behind. The specs for the Alpha that would be in that price range is: Like I said, I just want to have a gaming system that can play the games for this generation. Note: I think the only thing upgradeable about the Alpha is its HDD and RAM, which is fine by me.
CAN A GEFORCE GTX 860M MONITOR 144HZ PS4
My question is that given a typical game that is available on all platforms (ie: Rainbow Six Siege), would the Alpha run it as well, better, or worse as the consoles when hooked up to a TV, playing at a HD resolution? If it can't, I might just as well get either the XBOne or PS4

Since I don't play games that much, I don't want to invest a lot on a gaming PC, but I have noticed that the Alienware Alpha series is on sale frequently for around same price as a new console ($330 - $350).
CAN A GEFORCE GTX 860M MONITOR 144HZ PS3
I don't play games that much anymore due to work, but I think its time for to start considering the jump to current gen systems and games (I've been gaming on a PS3 and 360).
